Team India is going through its finest phase at the moment. Team players are performing their dominance over the world, but the team is still struggling with a problem. This is the problem of the team – the batting middle order. Recently, the team India shortage has been exposed in the series played against New Zealand. However, efforts have been made for a long time with the middle-order batting, but no positive result has been reached yet.
Let’s say that at least 11 players have been tried for the fourth position position in batting since the 2015 World Cup, but no finals have been played so far. The eyes of selectors, coaches and captains are currently on the 2019 World Cup. They are constantly working on team combinations. The result of this is that in every match a new player is being fed on this position, but there is no special result.
In such a scenario, legend Sunil Gavaskar feels that the two players should come back to deal with this problem in Team India. Gavaskar has advised the selectors to give some old players a chance again.
Gavaskar says that by joining these players in the team, perhaps the solution to this problem can be solved. Gavaskar said after the victory of Team India in the third T20 against New Zealand, that “there should be a return of Suresh Raina and Yuvraj Singh in the team to handle the faltering middle-order of the Indian team.
Former captain said, “Firstly, there will be experienced batsmen in the middle order. The other team lacks left-handed batsmen and these two players will fulfill these shortcomings.
Gavaskar also said that, “Both of these players can contribute well in bowling rather than handling the middle order. However, that is an alternative solution but there is a left-handed batsman in the middle order, which can not be ignored.
Let us know that at the moment, there is only Shikhar Dhawan on the left hand batsman in the team and he also starts the innings. Apart from this, all the batsmen are right-handed. The left and right-hand batsmen on the field create problems for the opposition team, but Team India is failing to do so.
