Stephen Hawking was born on 8 January 1942. He died on Wednesday 14 March 2018. He died at the age of 76. He died peacefully at home as his family said.
Hawking was suffered from rare amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS),which is also called as motor neurone disease that has gradually paralysed him over the decades.he depend on computerised voice system for communication and a wheelchair for movement. Despite of this he he travel the world for giving lecture.
He was a British theoretical physicist,author and director of Research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology within the UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE. The university of Cambridge said that”he was inspirational to millions”.
He was a wonderful scientist and an extraordinary man whose working will remain between us for million years.
HIS PERSONAL LIFE
H married to Jane Wilde she was his sister friend.They were married on 14 July 1965.There son was Robert,was born in May 1967 and a daughter was born in 1970.and the third child was born in April 1979.Because of his disability the responsibility of their families lies on the shoulder of his wife.
Hawking married life was full of tension for many years but after he returned to Cambridge with new job new home in 1975.
Hawking received many awards.In 1974 he was elected as a fellow of the Royal Society.In 2008 he won Presidential medal of freedom from President Barack Obama.
In 1979 he won Albert Einstein medal,in 1978 he won Albert Einstein award ,Wolf prize in physics in 1988.
