Srinagar : After the death of three militants in Shopian district of south Kashmir, a firing started again at the encounter site. This information is given by the police. In the firing on Saturday, two army personnel were killed and three others were injured. A police official told that the firing started again at the scene of Janapora in Shopian. He told that after the police was trying to kill the three terrorists, the police was conducting a search of the encounter and the firing started again from the ruins. The official said that the operation is still going on.
Three terrorists were killed this morning in this encounter. DGP SP Vaid had earlier told that three terrorists were killed in an encounter in Shopian’s Janapora. He said that it is being detected to identify the killed terrorists and which group they belonged to.
After getting information about the presence of terrorists yesterday in the village of Annira in Janapora area of the district, security forces started siege and search operation. During the search, the militants fired at them, whose security was also fired by the security forces in response to which the encounter started. Five soldiers were injured in the shootout, who were evacuated from there and sent to the army’s 92 Base Hospital for treatment.
The two seriously injured soldiers could not be rescued and they died. A spokesman of the Army has identified the martyr soldiers as Tamil Nadu resident Sep Ilaiyaraja P. and resident of Sepoy Gavai Sumedh Vaman of Maharashtra.
